Ross Munro, in Queensland, Australia, recently launched and trialed his 18' (5.4M) Ulua. The planking is Kiri (paulonia), and with two layers of 6oz fiberglass, it still weighed only 57 lb (26kg). Kiri is lighter than cedar but heavier than balsa.
