On the foam amas by Dennis Gallant - there seems to be a different colored material on the side of the ama. Is that a different material than the rest (pink) foam? Or a different density?

Is it there for added strength? ...or something else?

If no added info available... please consider putting me on contatct with Dennis in some way - you can send him my email directly if you wish.
Thanks
