Plan Order Change

The web address where you can order plans has changed.  I have also switched to E-plans only, meaning that upon receipt of payment you will receive a link to download the files in PDF format.  Full size bulkhead and mold patterns can be printed locally from these files.  The plan prices have been reduced to US$95 to reflect the savings in postage and printing.  International air parcel post has become too slow in many cases and delays in customs in some countries have also caused big delays.
The new links are on the side of this blog and here:

Some Great News

“Canoes of Oceania,” originally published as three separate volumes from 1936 to 1938, has been reprinted in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Bishop Museum Press, Hawai‘i’s oldest book publisher!
The book, authored by ethnographers A.C. Haddon and James Hornell, has long been regarded as a classic text for those interested in the techniques, forms, materials, and functions of ocean-going canoes throughout the Pacific. The trilogy serves as a significant reference and has become an important source of inspiration for recent generations of oceanic voyagers, including members of the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
